Role Overview

The Lead GenAI Engineer will lead the development, optimization, and seamless integration of advanced Generative AI technologies into Homefile’s platform. You will be responsible for crafting AI models that power Homie’s personalized recommendations, maintenance automation, and service provider integrations, all while working to scale and enhance the platform’s capabilities.

This is a high-impact role requiring expertise in AI/ML, creativity, and the ability to integrate AI systems with existing tools and workflows. You’ll play a key role in shaping how homeowners interact with their homes and the services they need.

Key Responsibilities

AI Model Development

• Design, train, and fine-tune Generative AI models to enhance Homie’s ability to:
• Provide personalized maintenance schedules and cost-saving recommendations.
• Generate insights on home improvement ROI and market comparisons.
• Automate service provider interactions and warranty management.

System Integration

• Integrate AI models into Homefile’s platform, ensuring seamless interoperability with existing tools, APIs, and service provider workflows.

User-Centric Innovation

• Tailor AI capabilities to align with the needs of homeowners, enabling Homie to provide proactive, actionable, and intuitive assistance.

Scalability and Reliability

• Architect robust pipelines to deploy AI models in production, optimizing for performance, scalability, and reliability in a fast-growing platform.

Collaboration and Leadership

• Work with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align AI initiatives with Homefile’s vision and goals. Provide mentorship to engineering and data science team members.

Ethics and Transparency

• Ensure ethical use of AI in recommendations and data processing, promoting trust and transparency for Homefile users.

Research and Development

• Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating emerging trends in Generative AI and translating them into innovations for Homefile’s platform.

Qualifications

Education

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development, including work with Generative AI models like GPT, BERT, or multimodal and Agentic AI systems.
• Proven track record of deploying and integrating AI models into consumer-facing platforms.

Technical Expertise

• Expertise in Python and AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Strong understanding of transformer architectures, fine-tuning, and optimization.
• Experience in integrating AI models with existing cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, model quantization, and creating scalable AI pipelines.
